Optical Media Backup
A manual snapshot of your data, done.
Isn't backing up to optical media old fashioned today?
Regardless of how you store your information, and having backups in place there are times where optical backups are essential.
1. Archiving documents for a family member (ie keep old information before computer disposal)
2. Keep a archive copy without paying on-going service fees to access that archive.

3. Keep a archive on-premise without powering on devices until needed.

All that is needed to open the optical archive is a common optical disc reader that is compatible with all DVD media and BluRay media 25GiB, 50GiB & 100GiB sizes and a working computer to view the files within. Where the archive is larger than one optical disc, the files are split alphabetically across the archive.
Example, disc 1 may have A-G and disc 2 may contain remaining G-Z files and folders.

We often pair this service for our existing backup clients that want a snapshot in time created on optical media but we can offer a FTP upload service to complete a optical media set and return by courier. (or even courier the computer to us!)

IMPORANT NOTICE
It is important to note optical media if stored correctly will last 10+ years. We supply the optical media in a plastic case, with silica sachet and all content inside a resealable plastic bag to prevent light and moisture damage to optical media. No vacuum packing is used as this will actually absorb moisture over time.
You still need to store the archive in a room above freezing and below 40deg (Celsius) temperature and not leave the optical media in direct sunlight.

There is no warranty for optical media archives once the media has been delivered to you.
